Tower Bridge Expedition

Here's my expedition of the Tower Bridge, London

Tower Bridge
The entrance fee is about 40 pound per person

It's just a few walks away from the Tower of London, which gives it its name

You can buy the entrance pass from London Tourism Centre

On-the-que

Tower Bridge is a combination of bascule and suspension bridge in London over the Thames River

It has become an iconic symbol of London

The History of Tower Bridge
The bridge consists of two towers which are tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways.

Designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended section of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers.

The bridge's present color dates from 1977 when it was painted red, white, and blue. Originally it was painted a chocolate brown color

Tower bridge is one of the great engineering marvels of its age.

One of the most recognizable bridges in the world.

Tower Bridge is sometimes mistakenly referred to as London Bridge which is actually the next bridge upstream
